Pipe Resources on the Internet

The Smokers Forums is an online club. The site consists of a variety of bulletin boards to discuss all things pipe, tobaccos, cigars and snuff. SF has some great members, and is likely the best online resource for new and experienced pipe smokers.

Pipes dot org is one of the oldest and most comprehensive pipe resources. Tons of great information and well worth a look for any pipe smoker.

The Online Pipe Tobacco Cellar
Like wine, cheese and people, pipe tobacco changes with age. Generally speaking, people find this change an improvement (referring to pipe tobacco, not necessarily people ;-). Therefore, many pipe smokers will keep lots of pipe tobacco cellared. The Online Pipe Tobacco Cellar helps people track the contents (and age) of their tobaccos.

The Yahoo Online Pipe Smoking Community is a great place to visit and get your questions answered. An excellent online pipe smoking resource with some great members.

The Tobacconist Brick and Mortar Database (BAM)
This database is particularly useful to those who travel and are in search of their favourite baccy. It allows you to find tobacconists worldwide, and provides Google Maps of their location. Unfortunately, at present, Google provides only maps for Canada, USA, England, Ireland and Japan. No doubt, more will come. So far, 492 tobacconists have been included. When you like to add one that’s missing from this database, just follow the instructions at the bottom of the search page.

Organizations & Pipe Clubs

The North American Society of Pipe Collectors (NASPC) was founded in 1994 for the sole purpose of promoting pipe smoking and collecting. They are not affiliated with any businesses, but cooperate with all to promote their goals: pipe smoking, sharing of information, and fellowship. If you’re not an NASPC member yet, consider joining. Detailed information and application form are available at their site.

Knoxville Area Pipe Smokers

The club is open to anyone who enjoys the pleasure of pipe smoking, collecting pipes, trying new tobacco and the companionship and fellowship with other smokers and collectors. At the meetings they have various speakers ranging from pipe makers to pipe and tobacco distribution representatives. From time to time they also have a pipe swap.
Pipe Club of the Lebanon
Founded in 2001, the Pipe Club of Lebanon, is the premier pipe club in Lebanon and, probably, the first of its kind in the Middle East. Seattle Pipe Club
Sure there's a statewide ban on smoking in public places! But the intrepid Seattle Pipe Club comfortably thumbs their nose at the law from Puyallup Tribal land in the town of Fife, WA, where Michael's Cigar provides a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere, with an excellent tobacco lounge, comfy chairs, tasty food and refreshing frosty beverages.
South-West Pipe Club in the UK.
The South-West Pipe Club owes its origin to a series of regular tobacco sampling events held by McGahey, The Tobacconist. A feature of these events was competitions between members, to see who could keep their pipe alight the longest which, in turn, led to a South-West Pipe Club team competing at the 1994 World Pipe-Smoking Championship.
Svenska Pipklubben (The Swedish Pipe Club)
Founded in 1991, this club has about 150 members from all over Sweden. They are interested in exchanging information and corresponding with clubs and individual pipe-smokers from other countries. As would be expected, their website holds interesting information on Swedish pipe makers.
